While Tempur-pedic are best known for their mattresses, they also manufacture a number of other sleeping accessories, including sleep masks.
If there is on thing that Tempur-Pedic knows, it’s memory foam. And and naturally they incorporated memory foam into their sleep mask.
In theory, memory foam is the ultimate sleep mask material. Since memory foam conforms to your body shape, it should prevent all light from creeping though the gaps, allowing you to sleep in total darkness.
So how does the Tempur-Pedic hold up?
Let’s take a closer look.
From the outside, the Tempur-Pedic looks like any other sleep mask.
Flip the sleep mask over and you will see that the construction is simple. A memory foam filled piece of material covers your eyes, while two straps secure the mask to your head.
On the inside of the sleep mask you will find a nose baffle, sewn into each of the eye-cups. These two padded pieces sit across the bridge of your nose, conforming to it’s shape. Whether your nose is big, small, fat or thin, the nose baffle will prevent light from creeping in around the nose.
The nose baffle of the Tempur-Pedic serves a second purpose, it keeps the fabric off your eyes. The sleep mask does not apply pressure to your eye-lids. You can even open your eyes without your eye-lids brushing against the fabric, further contributing to the illusion that it is pitch-black.
Like most sleep masks, the Tempur-Pedic is fastened to your head with a Velcro strap. The strap is nice and thick. Even when it’s tightened securely, it does not feel like it is applying excess pressure to your head. Even when I tossed and turned throughout the night, the sleep mask stayed in position.
And just so you know who manufactured it, Tempur-Pedic have sewn their logo onto the sleep mask strap.

Wearing the Tempur-Pedic Sleep Mask
The dark color of the fabric makes the Tempur-Pedic eye mask suitable for both men and women.
While the tempurpedic does cover your ears, it does not reduce noise. Get yourself a good pair of sleeping earplugs if night time noise reduction is what you are after.
Like all sleep masks, it does take a couple of seconds to wiggle the Tempur-Pedic into a comfortable position before falling asleep. When you first put it on, the nose baffle has a tendency to ride up, however this is easily pulled back down and stays in position once done.
Now some people do complain that this sleep mask is too stiff. And if you are looking for the silkiest, plushest sleep mask, then this isn’t for you.
But the only time I found the sleep mask stiff is when I was side sleeping on a firm buckwheat pillow. In this instance I noticed the padding in the side pressed into my cheek bones. It wasn’t uncomfortable, it was just noticeable. And if you cannot go to sleep with any “unusual feelings” then this might keep you awake.
But if you are a back sleeper, or sleep on a plush pillow, then the Tempur-Pedic is perfectly comfortable.
The memory foam worked well at contouring the nose and cheeks, obstructing all light. Even with my eyes open, I could not make out any light coming through the sleep mask.
Memory foam does not offer the best air circulation. And because of this, those of you who either sleep hot, or live in a hotter climate may find that the area under the sleep mask gets sweaty and uncomfortable. But if you live where the nights are cold, the warming attribute of memory foam is actually a positive.
If you sleep on a memory foam pillow comfortably, then the Tepurpedic sleep mask likely won’t cause you any issues.
Over all the Tempur-Pedic is a great all-round great sleep mask. Highly recommended.
